SO… The title is a little controversial right? Now-a-days banning cars is pretty much not an option due to there being 1.2 Billion of them driving around (give or take a couple).
Where am I going with this? Well! As a species, we accept ‘Risk v Benefit’ as part of our lives.
We, as humans, can improve our environment to suit our needs, which of course lead to the roll out of the Model T back in October 1908. Of course, cars have cam a long way from then!
Put simply we have developed seat belts, airbags, window wipers, mirrors and leaner and cleaner engines. The list goes on, and we are continuing to see technology advances every day!
Compare this innovation to the humble USB drive. How many do you think are in circulation?
Like the automobile USB’s have come a long way, even though they haven’t been around for that long! They continue to expand their storage capacity and (just like a car) they have made massive strides in improving safety. Protecting your data against theft and loss is so important now more than ever as data is now so precious! But now it can be made completely secure in the event of an emergency!
The simple moral of this story is …
Once something becomes universally accepted and integrated into our lives there is no point in fighting it, as humans we must way up the risk and benefits and adapt to what life throws at us providing a safe and secure environment!
