Trusted Partners – Trust is Key
Trust is a fundamental principle of our business. We all know how to measure the value of tangibles such as equipment, stock, people and other resources, but what about the intangibles?
Trust is difficult to measure due to its intangible nature because it has different value at different levels, for different individuals. A wise man once said; “The best way to find out whether you can trust someone, is to trust them”
The willingness to be transparent in our journey, in my experience, has been and still is, key. We do what we say we’ll do, and if we can’t we pick up the phone. Consistency over time builds trust or indeed reduces the level of distrust.
I regularly speak with resellers about their clients and in most cases the businesses where forged with some early clients who “trusted” them implicitly to deliver. It’s not uncommon to see resellers who have 10, 15 or 20+ year relationships with their customers and with that timeframe lies a high level of trust in the relationship.
Obviously as technology continues to change and develop at exponential rates, our clients’ needs are changing and the need to trust their re-seller has never been more important. As a result, we and others must adapt, change and develop directly alongside the advances in technology to ensure that trust and reputation are maintained. Warren Buffet a multi-billionaire investor once said, “It takes 20 years to build a reputation and 5 minutes to ruin it” so it’s imperative we adapt to the market changes to maintain our reputation and thus maintain trust with clients.
When Renaissance look to take on a new vendor, we check their credentials extensively to ensure that they can deliver and will deliver on their promises.
We recently took on a data backup partner, Data Deposit Box. When it comes to data there can be no compromise and trust needs to be absolute.
Our approach is to support our reseller base with the skills and expertise, to ensure they can rise to the challenges the market faces. This enables them to build on the trust that is already established and allows them to deliver secure data storage solutions at a fair price.
Data Deposit Box has over 15 different ways across their product line to recovery from ransomware. They offer a compelling solution that encompasses a complete backup and recovery from ransomware while keeping the expense within the SME budget. Data Deposit Box offers partners simple and flexible options that include:
